Welcome to Tirth Travels. We are committed to protecting the privacy of both our passengers (using the Tirth Travels Rider App) and our registered partner drivers (using the Tirth Travels Driver App). This Privacy Policy describes how Tirth Travels collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile applications (collectively referred to as the "Service").

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Identification Information

To register and use our service, we collect personal data including but not limited to:

First and last name
Email address
Phone number
Account credentials and profile photos

Location Data (Crucial for Ride Matching)

            Important Location Access: We collect precise location data (foreground and background) from your mobile device. 
            For Riders: We use location to detect pickup/drop-off points and show real-time driver ETA.
For Drivers: We collect location data in the background (even when the app is closed or not in use) to match drivers with nearby passenger requests, navigate to pickups, and compute exact distance fares.

        

Driver Onboarding Verification Documents

To ensure regulatory compliance and passenger safety, we require driver partners to upload the following documents through the Tirth Travels Driver App:

Driving License (DL)
Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)

These documents are stored securely and are only used for driver background verification before account activation.

Camera & Photo Access

Our applications request permissions to access your camera and photo library. This is required for uploading user/driver profile pictures and photographing the required onboarding verification documents (DL/RC).

2. How We Use Your Information

Tirth Travels uses the collected data for operational purposes:

To match riders with the closest available drivers (specifically coordinating exact vehicle requests like Urbania, Traveller, or Innova Crysta).
To track active rides on maps for safety, security, and ETA updates.
To calculate fare distances, duration-based pricing, and process secure transactions.
To verify driver credentials and check document integrity.
To contact users and drivers regarding support requests, safety updates, or account changes.

3. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and satisfy legal requirements.

Account Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated personal data. You can delete your account directly inside the app by going to Profile > Delete Account. Upon request, all personal data, location history, and uploaded documents (DL/RC) will be permanently erased from our active databases.

4. Data Sharing and Security

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share location, name, and phone details between the matched Rider and Driver to facilitate the transport booking.

We employ administrative and technical security measures to safeguard your personal documents against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

5. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of updates by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
